1972 Lancia Fulvia Coupe HF 1600 Lusso

Supplied new on 8th February 1972 to a doctor from Nottingham and first registered on the cherished number MJE840. The original service and warranty book is stamped on the first page by Lancia (England) Ltd of Wembley. Crucially the car was Ziebart rustproofed on the day of delivery by the new owners local Ziebart agent in Nottingham. The access points are still visible on the car today and the original invoice and guarantee card are in the history file. The Doctor and his wife were clearly very fond of the car as they owned it for approximately 23 years. The last invoice on file to them is dated 1995 from Omicron Engineering. After a few shorter term ownerships the cars was purchased in 2012 by the last owner prior to our acquisition.

Produced from 1970 – 1973, the HF 1600 replaced the HF 1.6 ‘Fanalone’ as the new HF (which stood for Hi-Fidelity) model in the Fulvia coupe line up. The HF badged cars represented the most powerful and sporting models in the Lancia range. Featuring the 1,584cc engine from the Fanalone predecessor with an all steel body incorporating wheel arch flares, replacing the extensions of the earlier HF models. Being a Lusso model this car features front and rear bumpers and a radio – in this case a Radiomobile – the operating instructions for which are still in the history file.

Accompanied by a large history file which includes old MOT certificates, tax discs and invoices, among which are some recognised names such as Richard Thorne and Omicron Engineering. A recent service has been carried out by Ferrari Specialist Keys Motorsport of Silverstone.
