Model Mk 10
Year 1965
Mileage 33,300
Exterior Colour Warwick Grey
Interior Colour Red

1965 Jaguar Mark 10 4.2

Only 33,300 miles

Finished in Warwick Grey over Masons Black with Maroon hand painted coachline and red leather interior.

Sold new to a lady in Grimsby who owned the car until 1971 when she sold it to a haulier friend, another Grimsby local who used the car for holidays until the early 80’s. He then stored it in his warehouse, taking the car out for yearly MOT’s.  The car remained in this family up until sometime around 2020. The car was then sold by a highly regarded Jaguar specialist to a collector local to ourselves. This was a multi million pound collection of only the very best examples including 60’s Jaguar’s, Ferrari’s, Aston Martin’s etc

The 4.2 Mark 10 is the most desirable of the Mk10 & 420G models. Featuring an increase in torque over the early 3.8, a new improved steering box, Dunlop brakes and a superior Borg-Warner automatic gearbox, they were  much improved car over the earlier model.

The subject of an 8-page feature in Classic & Sportscar Magazine in May 2021 alongside a MkVII. A highly original example of which there can only be a handful left worldwide, this one being particularly special due to its very low mileage and low ownership.
