1974 Jensen Interceptor Mk III

47,000 miles

Copper Brown Metallic | Beige Leather | Black Vinyl Roof

An exceptionally attractive example of the iconic Jensen Interceptor Mk III, presented in a superb and highly appealing colour combination of Copper Brown Metallic over a beige leather interior, complemented by a black vinyl roof.

Manufactured at Jensen’s Kelvin Way factory in West Bromwich, this particular Interceptor was completed on 8th April 1974 and supplied new through the main agent Charles Follett Ltd of London to its first owner, Mr Coppin, a professional numismatist.

When just a few years old the car was purchased by a gentleman from the midlands who unbelievably owned the car right up until our recent purchase, although DVLA have added him as an owner more than once on the V5 due to a house move.

The car was never intended to be an everyday vehicle. Instead, it was cherished and enjoyed as a special-occasion car, with the owner fondly recalling family touring holidays to Scotland when his children were very young.

Garaged at home during his ownership, the Jensen was regularly started and brought up to operating temperature, although its use became increasingly limited during the later years. Prior to our purchase, the car had benefited from some recent expenditure, and since arriving with us it has undergone further recommissioning work.

With its low mileage, long-term ownership and superb period colour combination, this is a particularly appealing example of Jensen’s celebrated grand tourer.
